✧ Ghaylan b. Salama al-Thaqafi embraced Islam while he had ten wives under him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: choose four of them. Then in the era of Umar he divorced his wives and divided his wealth among his sons. That reached Umar, so he met him and said: I think Satan, in what he overhears from the hearing, heard of your death and cast it into your heart. Perhaps you will remain only a little while. By Allah, you will take back your wives and you will take back your wealth, or I will make them inherit, and I will order that your grave be stoned as the grave of Abu Righal was stoned.

machine translationThis ḥadīth is not preserved (ghayr maḥfūẓ). The sound version is what Shuʿayb b. Abī Ḥamzah and others narrated from al-Zuhrī, who said: "I was told, from Muḥammad b. Suwayd al-Thaqafī, that Ghaylān b. Salamah al-Thaqafī accepted Islam while he had ten wives." Al-Bukhārī said: The ḥadīth of al-Zuhrī is only from Sālim, from his father, that a man from Thaqīf divorced his wives, so ʿUmar said to him: "You will take your wives back, or I will stone your grave as the grave of Abū Righāl was stoned."
