وَعَنْ عَفَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ:
حَجَجْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَ أَوَّلُ الْفَجْرِ قَامَ فَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: مَا كُنْتَ تُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ ؟ وَكَانَ يُسْفِرُ بِالصَّلَاةِ، قَالَ: إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ، فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ، يَعْنِي: بِجَمْعٍ
Translation

✧ We performed Hajj with Ibn Mas'ud until when the first dawn rose, he stood and prayed the morning prayer. He said: I said to him: 'You never used to pray this prayer at this hour,' and he used to delay the prayer until it was bright. He said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying on this day, in this place, at this hour,' meaning at Muzdalifa.
