حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَوْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ:

قَاتَلْتُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ قِتَالًا، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَإِذَا هُوَ سَاجِدٌ، يَقُولُ: يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبْتُ فَقَاتَلْتُ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَإِذَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَاجِدٌ، يَقُولُ: يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، قَالَ: فَفَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ

✧ I fought on the day of Badr, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and found him prostrating, saying: O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting. Then I went and fought, then I came and found the Prophet ﷺ prostrating, saying: O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting. He said: Then Allah granted him victory.
