✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us the sermon of need. Sufyan said: Indeed, all praise belongs to Allah. And Shu'bah said: All praise belongs to Allah, we praise Him and seek His help. Sufyan said: We seek refuge in Him. And Shu'bah said: We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own souls. Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Then he recited three verses: 'O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims'; 'And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs'; 'Fear Allah and speak a proper word,' until His saying: 'a mighty triumph.' Then he would speak about his need.
