حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Wakīʿ
  3. al-Aʿmash
  4. Abū Wāʾil
  5. ʿAbdullāh
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ When you are three, then two should not converse secretly apart from the one, for that would grieve him.
