حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، حَدَّثَتْهُ:
أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا عَرَكَتْ، قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، اشْدُدِي عَلَى وَسَطِكِ، وَكَانَ يُبَاشِرُهَا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، وَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ لِصَلَاتِهِ، وَقَلَّ مَا كَانَ يَنَامُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، لَمَّا قَالَ اللهُ: قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلا قَلِيلا

✧ When she had her menses, the Messenger of God ﷺ would say to her: O daughter of Abu Bakr, tie your waist-wrapper tightly. He would enjoy her at night as God willed, and he would say the takbir for his prayer, and he seldom slept at night, because God said: 'Arise at night, except a little.'
