قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتِ:

السَّمَرُ لِثَلَاثَةٍ: لِعَرُوسٍ، أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ، أَوْ مُتَهَجِّدٍ بِاللَّيْلِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muʿāwiyah
  2. Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Anṣārī
  3. ʿĀʾishah Zawj al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ Night conversation is for three: a bride, a traveler, or one who prays at night.
