✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would order his bed to be prepared for him, so it would be spread out for him facing the qiblah. When he retired to it, he would rest his head on his right palm and then whisper something we did not know what he was saying. At the end of that, he would raise his voice and say: O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne, God—or Lord—of everything, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion, Splitter of the grain and the date stone, I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You hold. O Allah, You are the First, before whom there is nothing, and the Last, after whom there is nothing, and You are the Outward, so there is nothing above You, and You are the Inward, so there is nothing beneath You. Settle our debt and enrich us from poverty.
