✧ I spent the morning with Aisha, and when morning came, she arose, performed ghusl, then entered a room of hers and shut the door behind her, leaving me outside. I said: 'O Mother of the Believers, I came to stay with you only for this moment.' She said: 'Enter.' So I entered and she prayed eight rak'ahs. I did not know whether their standing, their bowing, or their prostrating was longer. Then she turned to me, struck my thigh, and said: 'O Rumaythah, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying them, and if my father were brought back to life and asked me to abandon them, I would not abandon them.'
