حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَسْرُورُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

أَكْرِمُوا عَمَّتَكُمُ النَّخْلَةَ، فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الطِّينِ الَّذِي خُلِقَ مِنْهُ آدَمُ، وَلَيْسَ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ يُلَقَّحُ غَيْرُهَا. وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَطْعِمُوا نِسَاءَكُمُ الْوُلَّدَ الرُّطَبَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رُطَبٌ فَالتَّمْرُ، وَلَيْسَ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ نَزَلَتْ تَحْتَهَا مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ

Translation

✧ Honor your paternal aunt, the palm tree, for it was created from the clay from which Adam was created, and no other tree is pollinated besides it. And the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Feed your childbearing women ripe dates, and if there are no ripe dates, then dried dates. And there is no tree more honored by God than the tree under which Maryam bt. Imran descended.
