✧ We set out to coincide with the new moon of Dhu al-Hijjah. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Whoever wishes to enter ihram for Hajj, let him do so, and whoever wishes to enter ihram for Umrah, let him do so. I was among those who entered ihram for Umrah. She mentioned that when she was at Sarif, she menstruated. She said: The Messenger of God ﷺ came in to me while I was weeping. I said: I wish I had not come out this year. He said: Undo your hair, abandon your Umrah, comb your hair, and do what the Muslims do in their Hajj. So she obeyed God and His Messenger. When it was the night of departure, he commanded Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakr to take her to al-Tanim, so he took her to al-Tanim, and she entered ihram from there for Umrah.

machine translationSomeone else claimed that this is a mistake on the part of ʿUrwah, and that the correct version is the narration of al-Aswad, al-Qāsim and ʿAmrah from her, that she entered the state of iḥrām for Ḥajj alone (ifrād).
