Musnad Abi Ya'la 4499

Translation

✧ The statement of Ibn Umar about the one bewailed was mentioned in her presence, and she said: 'May Allah have mercy on Abu Abd al-Rahman. He heard the hadith but did not memorize it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only said, when a funeral of a Jew passed by him while his family was weeping over him: 'They are weeping, and he is being punished.''
