حَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ أَشْرَسَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ أَبُو مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
لَا تَفْنَى أُمَّتِي إِلَّا بِالطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ، قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَدْ عَرَفْنَا الطَّعْنَ، فَمَا الطَّاعُونُ ؟ قَالَ: غُدَّةٌ كَغُدَّةِ الْإِبِلِ، الْمُقِيمُ بِهَا كَالشَّهِيدِ، وَالْفَارُّ مِنْهَا كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ
Translation

✧ My community will not perish except by stabbing and the plague. We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we know stabbing, but what is the plague?" He said, "A gland like the gland of camels. The one who remains in it is like a martyr, and the one who flees from it is like one who flees from the battlefield."
