✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a journey. Among us were those fasting and among us were those not fasting. We alighted at a stopping place on a hot day. The ones with the most shade among us were the owners of cloaks, and among us were those who shielded themselves from the sun with their hands. He said: The fasting ones collapsed and the non-fasting ones stood up, struck the tents, and watered the mounts. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: The non-fasting ones have gone today with the reward.

machine translationThe companions of ʿĀṣim disagreed with him, among them Abū Muʿāwiyah al-Ḍarīr and ʿAlī b. Mushir, and they narrated it from ʿĀṣim, from Muwarriq al-ʿIjlī, from Anas, and that is the correct (ṣawāb) version.
