حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ الطَّاحِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا، فَتَزَوَّجَتْ زَوْجًا فَمَاتَ عَنْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا، هَلْ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا الْأَوَّلُ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، حَتَّى يَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, and she married another husband who died before consummating the marriage with her. May the first one remarry her? He said: No, not until he tastes her sweetness.

    لا أعلم يرويه عن يحيى بن يزيد غير محمد بن دينار وهو حسن الحديث وعامة حديثه ينفرد به

    machine translationI do not know anyone who narrates it from Yaḥyā b. Yazīd other than Muḥammad b. Dīnār, and he is good in hadith (ḥasan al-ḥadīth), though most of his narrations are ones he is alone in transmitting.
