حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُدْعَى إِلَى خُبْزِ الشَّعِيرِ وَالْإِهَالَةِ السَّنِخَةِ فَيُجِيبُ، وَلَقَدْ كَانَتْ لَهُ دِرْعٌ رَهْنًا عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ مَا وَجَدَ مَا يَفْتَكُّهَا حَتَّى مَاتَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would be invited to barley bread and rancid fat and he would accept. He had a coat of mail pawned with a Jew, and he could not find anything to redeem it until he died.
