✧ The Muhajirun and the Ansar were digging the trench around Madinah, carrying the earth on their backs, and saying: 'We are those who pledged allegiance to Muhammad upon Islam as long as we remain forever.' He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, answering them: 'O Allah, there is no good but the good of the Hereafter, so bless the Ansar and the Muhajirun.' He said: And they would be brought two cupped hands full of barley, and it would be prepared for them with rancid fat, which was repulsive in the throat and had an offensive smell, and it was placed before the people.
