حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أُحُدٍ سَمِعَ نِسَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِ يَبْكِينَ، فَقَالَ: لَكِنَّ حَمْزَةَ لَا بَوَاكِيَ لَهُ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ نِسَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَبَكَيْنَ حَمْزَةَ، فَنَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُنَّ يَبْكِينَ، فَقَالَ: يَا وَيْحَهُنَّ، مَا زِلْنَ يَبْكِينَ مُنْذُ الْيَوْمِ، فَلْيَبْكِينَ وَلَا يَبْكِينَ عَلَى هَالِكٍ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ returned from Uhud, he heard the women of the Ansar weeping. He said: But Hamzah has no weepers. That reached the women of the Ansar, and they wept for Hamzah. The Messenger of God ﷺ slept, then woke while they were weeping. He said: Alas for them, they have been weeping since today. Let them weep, but let them not weep for any dead person after today.
