حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ، يَقْرَؤُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، طُوبَى لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ وَقَتَلُوهُ، عَلَامَتُهُمْ رَجُلٌ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ

Translation

✧ A people will pass out of Islam as the arrow passes through the game. They recite the Quran but it does not go beyond their collarbones. Blessed is the one who kills them and whom they kill. Their mark is a man with a defective hand.
