machine translationAl-Thawrī narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, and there is disagreement about it from him. The companions of al-Thawrī narrated it from him, from Abū Isḥāq, from ʿĀṣim b. Ḍamrah, from ʿAlī. Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām differed from them and narrated it from al-Thawrī, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Ḥārith, from ʿAlī. The preserved (maḥfūẓ) version is the ḥadīth of ʿĀṣim from ʿAlī.
