حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَذِهِ الدَّعَوَاتِ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَى: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَجْأَةِ الْخَيْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فَجْأَةِ الشَّرِّ، فَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَا يَدْرِي مَا يَفْجَؤُهُ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَى
Translation

✧ He used to supplicate with these supplications when he entered morning and when he entered evening: 'O Allah, I ask You for sudden good, and I seek refuge in You from sudden evil, for the servant does not know what will suddenly come to him when he enters morning and when he enters evening.'
