حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
أَتَى رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ عَلَى الْعَمَلِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ يَعْمَلُونَ، وَلَمَّا يَعْمَلْ بِمِثْلِهِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ. أَوْ: مَعَ مَنْ يُحِبُّ. قَالَ: فَفَرِحَ بِذَلِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَرَحًا لَمْ أَرَهُمْ فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ مِثْلَ فَرَحِهِمْ بِهِ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: A man loves a people for the good deeds they do, but he has not done the like of it. The Prophet ﷺ said: A person is with the one he loves, or: with the one whom he loves. He said: The companions of the Prophet ﷺ rejoiced over that with a joy the like of which I did not see them rejoice over anything.
