حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا حُمِلَتْ جِنَازَةُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، قَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ: مَا أَخَفَّ جِنَازَتَهُ، وَذَلِكَ لِحُكْمِهِ فِي بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ كَانَتْ تَحْمِلُهُ

Translation

✧ When the funeral of Sa'd b. Mu'adh was carried, the hypocrites said, "How light his funeral is!" That was because of his judgment regarding Banu Qurayzah. This reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "The angels were carrying him."
