حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ النَّابِغَةِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
نَهَى عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ، وَعَنِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ، وَأَنْ نَحْتَبِسَ لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ، قَالَ: إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا، فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُكُمُ الْآخِرَةَ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ فَاشْرَبُوا فِيهَا وَاجْتَنِبُوا مَا أَسْكَرَ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ أَنْ تَحْبِسُوهَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ، فَاحْبِسُوهَا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ
Translation

✧ He forbade visiting graves, and [forbade] certain vessels, and [forbade] that we keep the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three [days]. He said: I had forbidden you to visit graves, but visit them, for they remind you of the Hereafter. I had forbidden you [to use certain] vessels, but drink from them and avoid whatever intoxicates. I had forbidden you to keep the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, but keep it as long as seems [proper] to you.
