حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، قَالَ:

خَرَجْتُ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَقُمْتُ أَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ تُوضَعَ فَأَجْلِسَ، وَنَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قَرِيبًا مِنِّي، فَلَمَّا وُضِعَتْ جَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: كَأَنَّكَ انْتَظَرْتَ هَذِهِ الْجِنَازَةَ أَنْ تُوضَعَ فَتَجْلِسَ ؟ قُلْتُ: أَجَلْ، لِحَدِيثٍ بَلَغَنِي عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، فَقَالَ

✧ I went out for a funeral and stood waiting for it to be placed down so that I could sit, while Nafi' b. Jubayr was near me. When it was placed down, I sat next to him. He said: "It seems you were waiting for this funeral to be placed down so that you could sit?" I said: "Yes, because of a hadith I heard from Abu Sa'id." Then he said:
