✧ I prepared food and invited Sulayman al-A'mash. I heard about him that he said: 'Waddah invited us to a protruding bone and sour pomegranates.' He said: Then I met Raqabah b. Masqalah and complained about him. He said: 'I will suffice you.' He met him and said: 'O Abu Muhammad, a brother from our brothers invited you and honored you, then you say "on a protruding bone and sour pomegranates"? By Allah, I never knew you except as harsh in nature, constantly frowning, quickly bored, belittling the rights of visitors, as if you are snuffing mustard when asked to tell a story.'
