حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ:

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ غَدَاةَ النَّحْرِ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي وَهُوَ شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ، أَفَهَلْ تَرَى أَنْ نَحُجَّ عَنْهُ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

✧ A woman from Khath'am asked the Messenger of God ﷺ on the morning of the sacrifice, saying: The obligation of God in the hajj has come upon my father, and he is a very old man who cannot sit firmly on the saddle. Do you think we should perform the hajj on his behalf? He said: Yes.
