حَدَّثَنَا كَامِلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اعْتَزَلَ نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا، فَخَرَجَ لَيْلَةَ تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَقُلْنَا: إِنَّمَا مَضَى تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا، وَصَفَّقَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، وَخَنَسَ إِصْبَعًا وَاحِدًا فِي الْآخِرَةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ kept away from his wives for a month. He came out on the night of the twenty-ninth, and we said: Only twenty-nine have passed. He said: The month is like this, and he clapped three times and folded one finger in the last.
