حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ عِنْدِي أَمَةً، وَإِنِّي أَعْزِلُ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَ: أَمَا إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَيْسَ يَمْنَعُ أَمْرًا أَرَادَهُ اللهُ، فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ جَاءَ فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: إِنَّهَا قَدْ حَمَلَتْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ

Translation

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I have a slave woman, and I practice coitus interruptus with her. He said: Indeed, that does not prevent any matter that God intends. It was not long before he came and said to the Prophet ﷺ: She has become pregnant. The Prophet ﷺ said: I am the servant of God and His Messenger.
