حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: هَذَا خَالِي

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAbd al-Ghaffār b. ʿAbdullāh
  2. ʿAlī b. Mushir
  3. Mujālid
  4. al-Shaʿbī
  5. Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas approached, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'This is my maternal uncle.'
