حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جَابِرٍ، وَعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا دَارًا، أَوْ قَصْرًا، فَسَمِعْتُ فِيهِ صَوْتًا، أَوْ ضَوْضَاءَ، فَقُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هَذَا ؟ قِيلَ: هُوَ لِابْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: زَادَ ابْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ: فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَدْخُلَهُ، فَذَكَرْتُ غَيْرَتَكَ، فَبَكَى عُمَرُ، قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، أَوَ أَغَارُ عَلَيْكَ. ؟

Translation

✧ I entered Paradise and saw in it a house, or a palace, and heard in it a sound, or clamor. I said: “For whom is this?” It was said: “It is for Ibn al-Khattab.” Sufyan said: Ibn al-Munkadir added: “I wanted to enter it, but I remembered your jealousy.” Umar wept and said: “O Prophet of God, would I be jealous of you?”
