✧ My father died and left seven daughters or nine daughters—Hammad said: And I only think he said nine—so I married a previously married woman. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: “Have you married, O Jabir?” I said: “Yes.” He said: “A virgin or a previously married woman?” I said: “A previously married woman.” He said: “Why not a young girl so that you could play with her and she could play with you?” or he said: “so that you could laugh with her and she could laugh with you?” He said: I said: “'Abd Allah died and left nine daughters, and I disliked bringing them someone like them, so I wanted a woman who could take care of them.” He said to me: “May God bless you,” or he said something good.
