حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا دَارًا، فَسَمِعْتُ فِيهَا ضَوْضَاءَ، فَقُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، قُلْتُ: مَنْ هُوَ ؟ قَالُوا: عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَدْخُلَهَا، فَذَكَرْتُ غَيْرَتَكَ يَا أَبَا حَفْصٍ، فَبَكَى، وَقَالَ: أَعَلَيْكَ أَغَارُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. ؟!

✧ I entered Paradise and saw in it a house, and I heard in it a commotion. I said: 'Who is this for?' They said: 'For a man from Quraysh.' I said: 'Who is he?' They said: ''Umar b. al-Khattab.' I wanted to enter it, but then I remembered your jealousy, O Abu Hafs. So he wept and said: 'Would I be jealous of you, O Messenger of Allah?'
