✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of the conquest of Makkah saying: God and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of wine, the sale of pigs, the sale of carrion, and the sale of idols. A man said: O Messenger of God, what do you think of the fat of carrion, for we grease ships with it, grease skins with it, and use it for lamps? He said: May God curse the Jews; God forbade them their fats, so they took them, melted them down, then sold them and ate their prices.
