حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنُ نُغْلِقَ الْأَبْوَابَ، وَأَنْ نُخَمِّرَ الْآنِيَةَ، وَأَنْ نُوكِيَ الْأَسْقِيَةَ، وَأَنْ نُطْفِئَ الْمَصَابِيحَ، وَأَنْ نَكُفَّ مَوَاشِيَنَا، حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ فَحْمَةُ الْعِشَاءِ، وَنَهَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَحَدُنَا بِشِمَالِهِ، وَأَنْ يَمْشِيَ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَعَنِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ commanded us to close the doors, cover the vessels, tie the water-skins, extinguish the lamps, and restrain our livestock until the darkness of the evening passes. He forbade any of us from eating with his left hand, walking in a single sandal, and from al-samma' and wrapping oneself in a single garment.
