Show the chain

✧ I heard Maslama b. Mukhallad while he was standing on the pulpit giving a sermon, saying: O people, do you not have in coarse cloth and linen what suffices you from silk? Here is a man among you who reports from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Stand, O 'Uqbah. So 'Uqbah b. 'Amir stood while I was listening, and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in the Fire. And I bear witness that I heard him say: Whoever wears silk in this world will be deprived of wearing it in the Hereafter.
