✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, intending not to leave anything of righteousness or sin without asking him about it. I came to him while a band of people were around him seeking his legal opinions, so I began to step over them. They said: 'Stay back, O Wabisa, from the Messenger of God ﷺ.' I said: 'Let me draw near to the Messenger of God ﷺ, for he is the most beloved of people to me that I should draw near to him.' He said: 'Leave Wabisa; draw near, O Wabisa. Consult your heart, and consult your soul. Consult your heart, and consult your soul. Righteousness is that to which the soul feels tranquility and to which the heart feels tranquility, while sin is that which agitates in the soul and wavers in the breast, even if people give you a legal opinion, and give you a legal opinion'—three times.
