حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" إِذَا خَلَصَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ مِنَ النَّارِ حُبِسُوا بِقَنْطَرَةٍ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، فَيَتَقَاصُّونَ فِيهَا مَظَالِمَ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا، حَتَّى إِذَا نُقُّوا وَهُذِّبُوا أُذِنَ لَهُمْ بِدُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ بِمَنْزِلِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَدَلُّ مِنْكُمْ بِمَنْزِلِهِ يَسْكُنُهُ كَانَ فِي الدُّنْيَا

Translation

✧ "When the believers are saved from the Fire, they will be detained on a bridge between Paradise and the Fire, where they will settle the wrongs that were between them in the world. Then when they are purified and refined, they will be permitted to enter Paradise. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, one of them will be more acquainted with his dwelling in Paradise than you are with your dwelling that you inhabited in the world."
