machine translationThe hadith of Qabīṣah is not authentic (ṣaḥīḥ); it is broken in its chain (munqaṭiʿ), because he did not meet Abū Bakr, nor did he hear it from al-Mughīrah or Muḥammad.
in مسند أبي يعلى الموصلي, p. 118 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
machine translationIt is a mursal hadith according to some of the people of knowledge, because no hearing by Qabīṣah from Abū Bakr is mentioned in it, nor his presence at that incident.
in مسند أبي يعلى الموصلي, p. 118 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationIts chain is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), because its narrators are trustworthy (thiqah), except that its form is mursal.
