حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ رَقَبَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ سُفَهَاءُ يُقَدِّمُونَ شِرَارَ النَّاسِ، وَيَظْهَرُونَ بِخِيَارِهِمْ، وَيُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِهَا، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ، فَلَا يَكُونَنَّ عَرِيفًا، وَلَا شُرْطِيًّا، وَلَا جَابِيًا، وَلَا خَازِنًا

✧ There will indeed come upon the people a time when you will have foolish rulers who put forward the worst of people, show off their best, and delay the prayer beyond its appointed times. Whoever among you reaches that time, let him not be a tribal leader, nor a policeman, nor a tax collector, nor a treasurer.
