حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، قَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ
أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ لَقِيَ طَلْحَةَ، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي أَرَاكَ وَاجِمًا ؟ قَالَ: كَلِمَةٌ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهَا مُوجِبَةٌ، فَلَمْ أَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: أَنَا أَعْلَمُ مَا هِيَ، قَالَ: مَا هِيَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ

✧ Abu Bakr met Talha and said: Why do I see you looking distressed? He said: A word I heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ, which he claimed is efficacious, and I did not ask him about it. Abu Bakr said: I know what it is. He said: What is it? He said: There is no god but God.
