For what the hand of a thief is to be cut off

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ وَوَهْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَعَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا

A thief’s hand should be cut off for a quarter of a dinar and upwards. Ahmed b. Salih said: The amputation (of a thief’s hand) is for a quarter of a dinar and upwards.
