What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationAl-Mundhirī was silent about this hadith.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh and ʿAnbasah b. Saʿīd narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from Asmāʾ, while others narrate it from Hishām, from his father, as a mursal report (mursal) from the Prophet ﷺ, and this is the correct one.
