Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ had a Jewish neighbor of good character, and he fell ill, so the Messenger of God ﷺ visited him with his companions. He said: “Do you bear witness that there is no god but God and that I am the Messenger of God?” He looked at his father, and his father remained silent, and the young man remained silent. Then a second time, then a third time. On the third time his father said: “Say what he says to you!” So he did, and then he died. The Jews wanted to take charge of him, but the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “We have a better right to him than you!” So the Prophet ﷺ washed him, shrouded him, embalmed him, and prayed over him.
