✧ The gift of a Muslim to a disbeliever and his bequest to him

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ
فِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿إِلا أَنْ تَفْعَلُوا إِلَى أَوْلِيَائِكُمْ مَعْرُوفًا ﴾قَالَ: " إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكَ ذُو قَرَابَةٍ لَيْسَ عَلَى دِينِكَ، فَتُوصِي لَهُ بِالشَّيْءِ، هُوَ وَلِيُّكَ فِي النَّسَبِ، وَلَيْسَ وَلِيُّكَ فِي الدِّينِ ". قَالَ: وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ مِثْلَهُ
Translation
✧ Regarding His saying: “unless you do a kindness to your allies,” he said: “Unless you have a relative who is not of your religion, and you bequeath something to him. He is your ally in lineage, but not your ally in religion.” He said: “And al-Ḥasan said the like of it.”
