Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 9946

✧ Whoever embraces Islam at the hands of a man, he is his mawla

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ

فِي رَجُلٍ جَاءَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشِّرْكِ فَأَسْلَمَ، وَوَالَى رَجُلًا قَالَ: " لَهُ وَلَاؤُهُ وَمِيرَاثُهُ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُ أَنْ يُوَالِيَ غَيْرَهُ "

Translation

✧ Regarding a man who came from the people of shirk and embraced Islam, and allied himself with a man, he said: "He has his wala and his inheritance, and he may not ally himself with anyone else."
