أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَيْكُمْ قَالُوا: السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " فَقُلْ: وَعَلَيْكَ.
Translation
✧ When the Jews greet you, they say: 'Al-sam 'alaykum (death be upon you).' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Then say: And upon you.'
