✧ The pledge of allegiance of women

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ ابْنَةُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ تُبَايِعُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَأَخَذَ عَلَيْهَا أَلَّا تُشْرِكَ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، الْآيَةَ. قَالَتْ: فَوَضَعَتْ يَدَهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا حَيَاءً، فَأَعْجَبَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا رَأَى مِنْهَا " قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: أَقِرِّي أَيَّتُهَا الْمَرْأَةُ، فَوَاللهِ مَا بَايَعَنَا إِلَّا عَلَى هَذَا، قَالَتْ: فَنَعَمْ إِذًا، فَبَايَعَهَا عَلَى الْآيَةِ
Translation
✧ Fatimah bt. Utbah b. Rabiah came to pledge allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ, and he took upon her not to associate anything with Allah—the verse. She said: She placed her hand on her head out of modesty, and what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw of her pleased him. Aishah said: Accept, O woman, for by Allah he did not pledge allegiance to us except upon this. She said: Then yes, so he pledged allegiance to her upon the verse.
