أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ خَلَفٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ الْأَسْوَدَ
رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، قَالَ: جَلَسَ عِنْدَ قَرْنِ مَسْقَلَةَ، وَقَرْنُ مَسْقَلَةَ الَّتِي تُهَرِيقُ إِلَيْهِ بُيُوتُ ابْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، وَهِيَ دَارُ ابْنِ سَمُرَةَ وَمَا حَوْلَهَا، وَالَّذِي يُهَرِيقُ مَا أَدْبَرَ مِنْهُ عَلَى دَارِ ابْنِ عَامِرٍ، وَمَا أَقْبَلَ مِنْهُ عَلَى دَارِ ابْنِ سَمُرَةَ، وَمَا حَوْلَهَا. قَالَ الْأَسْوَدُ: فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَلَسَ إِلَيْهِ، فَجَاءَهُ النَّاسُ الصِّغَارُ وَالْكِبَارُ وَالنِّسَاءُ، فَبَايَعُوهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ. قُلْتُ: وَمَا الشَّهَادَةُ ؟ قَالَ: " أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ أَنَّهُ بَايَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ بِاللهِ وَشَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Translation
✧ He saw the Prophet ﷺ pledging allegiance to the people on the day of the conquest. He said: He sat near Qarn Masqalah, and Qarn Masqalah is the one towards which the houses of Ibn Abi Umamah pour, and it is the house of Ibn Samurah and what is around it, and the one into which what recedes from it pours upon the house of Ibn Amir, and what approaches from it upon the house of Ibn Samurah and what is around it. Al-Aswad said: I saw the Prophet ﷺ sat by it, and the people came to him, young and old and women, and they pledged allegiance to him upon Islam and the testimony. I said: What is the testimony? He said: Muhammad b. al-Aswad informed me that he pledged allegiance to them upon faith in Allah and the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger.
