✧ Military Expeditions, Spoils of War, and Carrying Heads

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

خَيْرُ الصَّحَابَةِ أَرْبَعَةٌ، وَخَيْرُ السَّرَايَا أَرْبَعُمِائَةٍ، وَخَيْرُ الْجُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ، وَلَنْ يُهْزَمَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ

Translation

✧ The best of companions are four, and the best of military expeditions are four hundred, and the best of armies are four thousand, and twelve thousand will never be defeated due to small numbers.
